First of all, I did not forget to blog for the last couple of days. Our neighborhood went thru a phone upgrade of some sort. Therefore, I have no internet service for those past few days. It was frustrating; I didn’t realize how dependent I have become of the internet. Put it this way, I am happy and ecstatic to be back online again.
So what is new with me since I went MIA, I been working nonstop since yesterday. We had a Friday wedding in League City. It was fun, but I am exhausted. I didn’t get home until 12:40 PM last night. Now, I am ready to go shoot again at 10:30 this morning. I probably won’t be back until after midnight again.
I was so happy to see so many of you logged on to view my pix. So for those faithful fans that I have, here are some pix that will definitely brighten your day. This flower is called Adenium obesum, also known as Sabi Star, Kudu, Thai Plumeria or Desert-rose. Here at my house in Houston, we leave it outside all year round. We do cover it up when it get below 30 degree. And yes, you will get to see all of those pix I took since Friday.

While looking for information on caring for Desert Roses I saw this website tonight – the precious child and beautiful flower photos; thanks for sharing. We saw a Desert Rose plant at Walmart and was fascinated by the unusual appearance and bought it . It was approximately 7″ tall on purchase about 6 weeks ago. It has grown several inches in height , foilage has about doubled in amount and is lush/green; it has produced clusters of red buds several times and they increase some in size but they fail to open. Just as we think we will see blossoms within a few days they just fall off. Today there is 1 large unopened flower on it and we are” holding our breath”. Could you please suggest some fertilizer or nutrients that may promote flowering and fullness of the root bulb. Obviously you know how to take good care of your plant. We live in North Carolina so it will have to remain a potted plant that we bring indoors for winter. Thanks! The Coffeys
