Sturgis 2009

Sturgis 2009

This image is from this past weekend.  Isn’t she precious?  I just  love the expression on her pretty face. Give her a few more years, then we can head on out to Sturgis.

A splendid work of art with stained glass windows and ornate details. Annunciation Catholic Church is the Second oldest Catholic Church in Houston: outgrowth of St. Vincent’s Parish, Established in 1839. If you want to visit this cathedral, it is pretty much located across Minute Maid Stadium downtown Houston.

I was fortunate enough to capture this amazing photo of Briscoe Manor during sunset. As you can see Briscoe Manor is such a beautiful place to wed. Gotta love the lens flares as it graced the right side of the building producing such wonderful warm tones.

Each of us has our own vision of what a tropical garden would be. This is my parent’s tropical paradise in Texas. In their garden, you can find tropical fruit trees, herbs, spices, and vines that are fragrance and exotic as the Far East. As I post these images, I find myself more curious and amaze at the many wonders that grow in this humid Texas climate.

Here in the South, we love crawfish. Between the months of March thru mid June, we eat as much crawfish as humanly possible. This Memorial weekend we were hit with scattered thunderstorms, but it didn’t stop us from our crawfish boil. Before I chow down on my crawfish, corns and sausages, I would like to thank all the soldiers for making this great country safe. Here are some pix of my 2009 Memorial Weekend shindig.

Persimmon

Persimmon

I think this is Fuyu persimmon. My tree is about 7 feet  tall and has more than 75 fruits on it right now. It used to have more, but with the hard rain couple of weeks ago, some of the fruits have fallen off.  Here in Houston the persimmon tree can live and thrive. Ok, off to work i go. I am getting ready to go on  a wedding shoot. Reception is at Briscoe Manor. I am very excited. This is my first time shooting at this venue. I will post images from Briscoe Manor later this week.  Thank you for the many dozens of you that logged in last night and early morning. Thank you for your interest in photography.
