Bride & Groom: Roberta & Faisal Shah
Venue: Monarch Ballroom@Westin Galleria, Houston, Texas
Makeup Artist: Shirin Ragas

Last week we have so much FUN shooting  Faisal and Roberta’s wedding. The two days celebration started on Friday night with the traditional Nikah ceremony at the Monarch Ballroom inside The Westin Galleria in Houton, Texas.

Definition of “Nikah” The legal contract between a bride and groom as part of an Islamic marriage.

It was a great PARTY. Faisal and Roberta looked amazing.  Roberta is a photographer dream subject. The glamorous couple was so wonderful to work with.

Thank you Roberta  and Faisal for letting us document  your special day.

Paraiso Maravilla is Houston’s premier location to host wedding ceremonies, receptions, business, and social functions. With courtyards full of blooming bougainvillea, hibiscus, and other greenery, Paraiso Maravilla truly presents itself as a “marvelous paradise,” which is the translation of the venues unique name. The indirect light and an abundance of candles transform this already beautiful facility into an overwhelmingly romantic atmosphere. “Once the gates close and the visitor is tucked inside, he or she is transported thousands of miles away to a Latin American and Mediterranean fantasy. All traces of Houston are gone. Every visual angle with the high walls is picture perfect – a romantic arched gateway in this direction, a splashing fountain surrounded by rich foliage straight ahead, a playful curving stairway in the other direction. “Here, a massive mantle. There, a vast expanse of Italian marble just right for dancing.”… brides feel as if they are attending their fairy-tale wedding. It’s hard to believe that such a place exists in Houston, TX. ”

Miranda and Thomas choose 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church for their wedding celebration. Families and friends pack the church to witness the union of these two beautiful souls.

Then they top it off by picking a beautiful classic hotel: Magnolia Hotel, Houston, Texas-totally chic in my book! Congratulation to Miranda and Thomas and here are some pictures from last Saturday wedding that was a total blast to shoot.

A splendid work of art with stained glass windows and ornate details. Annunciation Catholic Church is the Second oldest Catholic Church in Houston: outgrowth of St. Vincent’s Parish, Established in 1839. If you want to visit this cathedral, it is pretty much located across Minute Maid Stadium downtown Houston.

I was fortunate enough to capture this amazing photo of Briscoe Manor during sunset. As you can see Briscoe Manor is such a beautiful place to wed. Gotta love the lens flares as it graced the right side of the building producing such wonderful warm tones.
